Pauline Lane Joins the Aging & Social Change Advisory Board

Dr Pauline Lane is a Reader (Associate Professor) and the Interim Director of the Positive Ageing Research Institute (PARI) in the Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care at Anglia Ruskin University (UK).
She has a special interest in social equality and social inclusion and the ageing experiences of minority and excluded communities. One of her past roles was to lead a national community research programme working with Black and Minority Ethnic elders – with a focus on mental health. This role influenced the publication of a co-edited book on Anti-discriminatory Practice in Mental Health Care for Older People (2017).
More recently, she has been involved in a co-produced research study - Life On and Off of the Hard Shoulder: Older Gypsies Living on the Roadside and in Housing (2019) and she is currently involved in a co-producing a new study on Gypsy Families Caring for People Living with Dementia. In her role as Director of PARI, she works with a team of expert researchers on issues concerning ageing in place, age technology and health and social inclusion.
