Kulsum Fatima is a LEED AP, Living Future AP, International Associate of the American Institute of Architects, and a CRIT scholar with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture. She brings a diverse background as an architect-educator, which shapes her professional journey as a PhD candidate at the University of Calgary, focusing on water sustainability. Her research promotes the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through sustainability, water management, life cycle assessment, systems design thinking, placemaking, and experiential learning. Kulsum also serves on the editorial board for Landscapes/Paysages, the official publication of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA), where she offers insights on design, environmental stewardship, and social sustainability.
