Yi Chen
Yi Chen is Senior Lecturer in Contextual and Theoretical Studies at the University of the Arts London. Her research interests include visual culture, aesthetic philosophy, cultural theory and research methodology. Yi’s first monograph ‘Practising Rhythmanalysis: Theory and Method’ (2017) advances the methodology ‘rhythmanalysis’ in arts and humanities research. Her second monograph ‘The Aesthetics of Images and Cultural Form: The Formal Method’ (2024) explores a non-discursive mode of visual cultural analysis through the formalist lens.
