Maria Charokopaki

Maria Charokopaki is a PhD Candidate in Management in Business and Sport Organization at the University of the Peloponnese. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and an MBA in Business Administration, and is currently pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the Hellenic Mediterranean University. Her doctoral research critically examines the political governance of sport in Greece, with a focus on institutional structures, policy reform, and gender equity. Her academic interests encompass sport governance, organizational behavior, leadership in sport institutions, and the integration of nutrition into public health and athlete development frameworks. She has contributed to international academic conferences, completed peer reviews for scholarly journals, and is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research and promoting inclusive, evidence-based approaches within the field of sport and society.
