Clint Bracknell
Clint Bracknell is a Nyoongar song-maker from the south coast of Western Australia and Professor of Music at the University of Western Australia. He investigates connections between song, language, and landscapes, and has co-translated groundbreaking Indigenous language works in film and theatre. Bracknell leads development of the Mayakeniny performance resource website, and releases Nyoongar music under the name Maatakitj. He served as Chair of the AIATSIS Council until 2025, was appointed to the inaugural Creative Australia First Nations Board and is an elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities (Arts Section).
