Holding a PhD and an MA from Princeton University, along with an MA and a BA from Peking University, Peng Peng specializes in Chinese art history, archaeology, and material culture within the broader context of Eurasia. Before joining CUHK (The Chinese University of Hong Kong), he taught art history at Pace University and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. To date, he has completed two monographs—one published and one forthcoming—on early Chinese metalwork, along with a diverse array of publications and curatorial projects that explore Chinese metalworking and metallurgy, ornaments and crafts, artisanal and industrial production, and traditional beliefs.
