Fidelma Ashe

Fidelma Ashe is Professor of Politics at Ulster University. Her research focuses on gender, sexuality, nationalism, peacebuilding, and constitutional change. She is the author or editor of five books, including Gender, Nationalism and Conflict Transformation (Routledge, 2019), and has published extensively in leading international journals. As a Leverhulme Fellow, she is currently working on Reimagining Irish Unity, a project examining women's participation in debates on constitutional futures and peacebuilding across Ireland. Her work combines academic research with engagement beyond the university, and she regularly collaborates with policymakers, community organisations, and practitioners on issues of equality, peacebuilding, and democratic participation.
