Global Studies Conference attendees include leaders in the field, as well as emerging scholars, who travel to the conference from all corners of the globe and represent a broad range of disciplines and perspectives. A variety of presentation options and session types offer opportunities for attendees to share their work, discuss key issues in the field, and build relationships with attendees.
Membership in the network is included with each conference registration.
The Global Studies Research Network supports a book imprint and a journal. Book proposals and article submissions which meet the specified requirements are then evaluated by qualified peers using a two way anonymous review process. If accepted in peer review, these works move through additional phases toward publication. Global Studies Research Network members have several opportunities for ongoing involvement. They can share video presentations of their scholarly work, apply to serve on the network’s Advisory Board, participate as a Reviewer, and much more. In short, there are myriad chances for members to gain experience and bolster resumes. Dr. Rafal Soborski is professor of international politics at Richmond, the American International University in London. He has taught and published extensively on globalization, ideology, social movements, and green politics. He is the author of two books: “Ideology in a Global Age: Continuity and Change” (Palgrave Macmillan 2013) and “Ideology and the Future of Progressive Social Movements” (Rowman and Littlefield 2018).
