Derrick M. Nault

Derrick M. Nault, PhD. has taught history and global studies at universities in Canada and East Asia. He has published a monograph on African influences in human rights history with Oxford University Press as well as two edited volumes on globalization, development, and human rights-related issues in international contexts with Palgrave Macmillan Publishers and Anthem Press. His current research explores Métis history, focusing on how kinship networks, political resistance, and cultural memory have shaped Métis identity. He is a citizen of the Red River Métis Nation.
