Patricia Welch Saleeby

Dr. Patricia Welch Saleeby is an Associate Professor and Program Director at Bradley University. She is a leading expert on disability and well-being in social work and public health – recognized internationally for her scholarly work promoting the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) in social work and the application of the Capability Approach as an alternative framework for better situating disability and well-being. Dr. Saleeby was one of the first social work professionals worldwide involved in the World Health Organization’s ICF development including the Environmental Task Force and Subjective Well-Being Task Force. She currently serves on the WHO Functioning and Disability Reference Group, mICF Global Partnership, and Post Acute Care Interoperability (PACIO) group.

Dr. Saleeby earned a Ph.D. in Social Work from Washington University, M.S.S.A. in Non-Profit Management/Social Administration at Case Western Reserve University, and B.A. in Biology from Oberlin College (USA).
