Anastasios Maragiannis

Professor Anastasios Maragiannis is a senior academic leader and internationally recognised expert in creative education, design leadership, and inclusive innovation. Currently serving as Pro Vice-Chancellor for Creative Education at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in United Kingdom, Anastasios oversees the strategic development of research, knowledge exchange, innovation, and pedagogical excellence across a global academic network. His career spans senior leadership roles in UK and international higher education, extensive transnational partnerships, and major curriculum reforms, with a strong focus on inclusive design, sustainable futures, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Anastasios has led award-winning research recognised by UNESCO partner organisations and international design bodies, and has contributed to global projects in collaboration with organisations including NASA and the World Design Organization. He is a frequent contributor to sector policy debates, a Steering Member of the Design Council, and an advocate for the transformative role of creative education in shaping future global leadership.
