The Eighteenth International Conference on the Inclusive Museum is pleased to announce the Conference Tour.
Zaragoza is located on the banks of the river Ebro. This city was founded by Augustus, the first Roman emperor in history. It was a muslim delight in the Middle Ages when it was the capital of a prosperous independent emirate. At the dawn of the Modern Age, it was known as "The Hispanic Florence" for its many Renaissance palaces. During the walking tour in Zaragoza, you'll enjoy beautiful squares and be also fascinated by cathedrals and temples. Casa Lac is a house with history. One of the oldest restaurants in Spain. It was founded in 1825 by the Lac family, of French origin. Its founders were cooks from the French nobility who had fled the country because of the French Revolution. The restaurant continues to maintain the essence in its decoration: the wrought iron staircase, the wooden coffered ceiling and the prominence of the parquet floor with Guinean and Canadian woods.
Dinner will begin with starters to share. For the main course, the guests can choose an Acorn-fed Iberian Pork Sirloin with Perigourdine in truffle sauce (meat option), a Yellowfin tuna tataki with wakame seaweed and soy sauce mayonnaise (fish option), or a vegetarian option. 11:30 - 13:30PM - Museum of Origami (5 min distance)
Zaragoza is a city where Papiroflexia (paper folding) has long been recognized as a discipline in its own right: the existence of a paper folding group is documented as far back as 1944. In 1978, the Zaragoza Origami Group was revitalized and has since developed numerous public activities, such as the paper airplane festivals of the 1980s or the offering of a paper mantle to the Virgin of El Pilar in 2007. One of the group’s main goals was — and still is — the organization of international gatherings and exhibitions. The most important of these took place at the Centro de Historias in Zaragoza in 2009. From that moment on, it became clear that the first European museum dedicated to origami would be established in Zaragoza.
Option 2
12:00 - 13:00PM - CaixaForum Zaragoza (30 min distance)
"Music and Mathematics. A Sonorous Journey from Chaos to Cosmos"
CaixaForum Zaragoza, located in one of the most modern buildings in the Aragonese capital, is a vibrant space dedicated to people, hosting a wide range of initiatives for all kinds of audiences: exhibitions of ancient, modern, and contemporary art; science, music and poetry festivals; multimedia art, debates, workshops, and activities for people of all ages.
Music and mathematics share many similarities. Music moves us mathematically and, thanks to mathematics, we understand the purest essence of music. This exhibition offers a sonorous journey that, starting from absolute silence, explores the sonority of nature: the music of matter and the mathematics that govern musical patterns.
Option 3

IAACC Pablo Serrano (Aragonese Institute of Contemporary Art and Culture), based in Zaragoza, is a public museum housing the legacy of renowned 20th‑century sculptor Pablo Serrano, who donated a vast body of work to the people of Aragón. Founded in 1995 by the regional government, it succeeded the former Pablo Serrano Museum Foundation. In addition, the IAACC Pablo Serrano runs a dynamic programme of temporary exhibitions, workshops, lectures, guided tours—including dramatised visits—and houses a specialized art library with over 10,000 publications. This institution is a cultural landmark in Zaragoza, blending historical architecture with contemporary art to celebrate both Pablo Serrano's legacy and the broader artistic evolution of the region.
