The New Directions in the Humanities Conference is pleased to offer the Conference Dinner at Casa do Alentejo
Located in a majestic XVII-century palace, Casa do Alentejo is much more than a restaurant: it is a journey through the history and tradition of the Alentejo. Formerly an aristocratic palace and later the elegant Majestic Club, this building combines architectural beauty with the warmth of Alentejo culture.
Today, it is a living space that celebrates the roots and spirit of a unique region, hosting cultural events, exhibitions, recitals, and, of course, authentic cuisine that pays tribute to the flavors of southern Portugal.
Menu
Dinner will begin with a traditional Portuguese “couvert” (bread, olives, regional cheese, and cold cuts). From the selected menu, guests will enjoy:

- Carrot and coriander soup
Main Course:
- Meat/fish option:
- Salmon fillets with mustard sauce
- Chicken leg with Arabian rice
- Vegetarian option:
- Tofu and vegetable curry
- “À Brás”-style vegetables

The meal will conclude with dessert. Wine and non-alcoholic beverages are included.
